How can you demonstrate your commitment to your team's success?
Only by listening can one ensure that the measurement of teams success is not a subjective indiviudal measure of success but an objective collective measure. What does the team view as success? It may not be what you think. If you are honest with yourself, it won't be. And that is great. Only by incorporating everyones needs can there truly be success, for everyone

How can you use active listening to make better team decisions in a fast-changing environment?
One thing I will never forget was being in the room with 10 other people and the CEO when a difficult decision needed to be made. After everyone gave their feedback, he went around the room person and by person and asked them if they agreed with the decision, and if they did not, if they could support it. He called on each person by name, gave them the floor, and asked for their answer. We didn't leave until all supported it. Even those who didn't agree, knew they were part of the decision making, and that their role in supporting the team, even if not what they thought was best, was essential to company success.

How can you ensure that your decisions reflect your values?
Think of someone other than yourself who you want to make proud. It could your spouse, your children, or God. It could be the childhood version of yourself. It could be your parents or your best friend. Are you excited to tell whoever that you are thinking about the decision you are about to make? If you aren't, then ask yourself, why are you making it?

How can you become a Servant Leader in your workplace?
Pick up your phone and look at the last 10 people you texted and reread the text conversation. Why did it happen? Hopefully at least one of these texts, was solely you attempting to let someone else know they aren't alone. Did you wish someone else a happy birthday? Did you let someone know you were thinking of them because you hadn't heard from them in a while? If you are going to sleep at night and your phone doesn't look like this, send messages until it does. With work colleagues too. Tell them you were impressed with a presentation they did. Tell them something they taught you that day. Tell them how they inspire you. The trick is not to tell them because you are seeking to "lead." Tell them simply because it's true.
