Projects

  • Empatica Sensor Integration

The sensor collects skin conductance, heart rate, blood volume pulse, and motion in real time. It can report the data live over a Bluetooth connection, but only Android and iOS are supported currently.
This is an on-going Directed Research project which involves reverse-engineering and working with customer support to create a Linux driver. I am involved in writing a ROS script to pass placeholder data into the ROS system, and use the SDK to access the data from the device.

  • Weenix Operating System

Given the skeleton of a toy operating system developed by Brown University, the project was to design various subsystems for the OS using C. The project was split into 3 modules spanning 3 weeks each where we designed and implemented Processes and Threads, the Virtual File System Layer and the Virtual Memory Layer for a non-preemptive single processor architecture. Testing and development was done on QEMU.

  • Simulator to analyse multiple parallel TCP connections

Built a network simulator using C++ to study the relationship between Number of parallel TCP connections, Congestion window algorithms, and packet dropping mechanisms.

Funded by IEEE under Engineering Projects in Community Service(EPICS), we developed assistive technologies using Java to empower students in blind schools in various cities of India. As a project developer, my responsibilities included interacting with the client for identifying requirements, design, development and user testing.

    -

Part of the team which implemented the Aqua browser. Aqua is an improvised version of TOR browser. The difference between Aqua and Tor is that an attacker in the middle cannot trace back to the sender by analysing the time stamps of the packets. Implemented using C++ only.
