Commissioner, Co-Chair, Co- Founder: The Commission for Nurse Reimbursement: The Commission for Nurse Reimbursement addresses the lack of direct reimbursement for nurses in acute and post-acute care settings. Nurses are the only degreed healthcare professional that is not a billable service in healthcare and has resulted in nurses being a cost to healthcare systems. This failed model, has led to the nursing crisis in the United States, and a new business model must be created for the sustainability of the nursing profession.

The primary goal of the non-profit organization is to explore and propose changes to existing billing and reimbursement models, that would ensure optimal levels of nursing care to ensure patient safety and outcomes, and to unburden our hospital and nursing homes from an economic model around nursing that fails provide optimum nursing care.

Founded in May 2023, with 12 Commissioners, the organization has quickly grown to encompass nurses in all the 50 States, partnerships with leading healthcare organizations, and becoming the leading voice on reimbursement models for nursing in the United States.

Co-President of the Charlestown Mothers Association, 501c-3 for nearly 7 years, to establish Charlestown as a safe, secure and wonderful place to raise a family in the City of Boston. During tenure, the average of a child in membership went from the age of 2 to the age of 5 - advancing the ability for families to live longer in the city. During the time of leadership, oversaw the expansion of parks, access to resources, public health and support of public education programs and childcare.
