    UMass Hillel and Chabad

    Health

    While I was a full-time student at UMass Amherst, I would volunteer for a wide variety of events through Hillel and Chabad. Often, these events were to better charities such as Sharsheret and Breast Cancer Awareness. In addition to providing support the day of the events, I also played a vital role in the tabling and publicity leading up to all events.

    Alpha Epsilon Phi Sorority

    Health

    While I was a full-time student at UMass Amherst, I would volunteer for a wide variety of events through my sorority, Alpha Epsilon Phi. The main philanthropies that we would support included Sharsheret and the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. Part of my duties included full member participation, meeting and exceeding fundraising goals, and event support.

Projects

  • Lack of Access to Women's Reproductive Healthcare in Rural Areas in America

    In this presentation, we discuss the current problems and solutions on how to successfully improve reproductive health to those living in rural areas throughout America. We include a variety of current solutions to our Public Health issue with one being the increase of rural health care facilities and increasing the number of physicians practicing in these communities.     During my time as a sister of the Alpha Epsilon Phi sorority, I quickly became a leader and a go-to individual for all things recruitment. By serving such a vital role within my sorority, I was able to increase our size over my 4 years by 40 members. Not only did my time with AEPhi better my sorority but it also allowed me to develop key interpersonal skills and leadership qualities that I still have with me today.
