Whether you're a first-time author embarking on your publishing journey or an experienced writer with a collection of published books, a professional book editor is an essential member of your publishing team.

Perhaps you've written the first draft of a YA fantasy, and you're not sure what steps to take next. Or you've written the next book in your cozy mystery series, and you're looking for a sharp eye to catch those final typos.

Whether it's fantasy, closed-door romance, historical fiction, or space opera—I'm here to help. Through thoughtful editing suggestions and a keen eye for detail, I guide writers through the editing stages, ensuring their book is poised for publishing success.

My book editing services are divided into two paths: Big Picture and Fine Details.

Big Picture: Through a manuscript review—or as I call it, a Custom Manuscript Masterplan—I'll use my editorial expertise to discern from the 30,000-foot level what's working well in your manuscript and what needs revision in order to do your story justice. Finally, I'll chart a personalized path through the editing stages to take you from first draft to published book.

Fine Details: For authors who feel confident about their book's narrative structure (and other "big picture" elements) and who believe it's ready for sentence-level editing, I've got you covered. We'll create a custom editorial package containing the two final stages of editing—line- & copyediting and proofreading—that's just right for you.
