    R/GA partnered with L’Oréal Paris and the MTA to create the first-of-its-kind intelligent vending experience in the New York City subway, revolutionizing the way women shop beauty. The experience works by detecting a user’s outfit colors to offer expertly-coordinated makeup recommendations and the ability to purchase complementary looks on-the-spot.

    In less than 48 hours, the program generated 130MM impressions and $4.7MM in ad value, appearing in major publications from Creativity…

For three days, we took over Times Square, syncing 39 massive digital signs throughout the area. Reps invited people to try it out for themselves at street-side stations, also synced to the digital signs—games, apps, pics, videos, seamlessly shared with all of Times Square.     Times Square is a place where peoples’ attention is seriously sought after. The American Eagle Outfitters Flagship Store in Times Square stands out thanks to an innovative digital signage experience that gave shoppers their “15 Seconds of Fame.” After a purchase, customers are invited to pose in a mini photo studio to have their picture taken. Moments later, the picture and a personal message appears on 15,000-square-feet of exterior digital signage for all of Times Square to see. “15 Seconds…

    As part of Verizon Wireless’s biggest device launch of the year, the company partnered with us to create the most spectacular digital out-of-home signage experience to promote DROID. The goal was to demonstrate DROID’s unique voice-recognition search feature on the world’s largest stage. The result was “DROID Does Times Square,” an interactive, voice-activated campaign that enabled bystanders to control two of the largest digital signs in the world—Thomson Reuters and NASDAQ—using only voice…

American Eagle Outfitters children’s line, 77kids, had established itself as a successful online brand. When they wanted to open retail stores, they turned to us to help them create an experience like no other for kids and parents alike.     While many companies have grappled with bringing their brand online, bringing an online brand to the brick-and-mortar retail space presents its own unique set of challenges. American Eagle Outfitters children’s line, 77kids, had established itself as a successful online brand. When they wanted to open retail stores, they turned to us to help them create an experience like no other for kids and parents alike. We started by bringing innovative digital experiences into the store. Interactive touch screens keep kids engaged while parents focus on shopping. The Look Finder lets kids select different outfits to try on for themselves virtually. At the Magic Mirror, kids can interact with a make-believe world of animated 77kids-branded characters. The DJ station lets them play with different records and sounds. Kids can pose for photos, and then write personal messages and graffiti on them to be printed at the checkout area to take home, or post in the store. Near the checkout is a “follow-spot” game, where they can chase a light character. As they try to catch it, the light moves, hides, and reappears.

Verizon Action Hero gave people the chance to cast themselves as the hero of a CG production. Participants uploaded a headshot, which was modeled into a 3D avatar through computer-graphics engines. Then they selected scenes, character dialogue, music options, and film titles. At the conclusion of this…
