    Learning where your food comes from and caring where your food comes from is important. Food is art, and art feeds the soul. Using the arts can help us better understand how our food is grown and appreciate the health that locally grown and locally-sourced food can provide.

    I developed and facilitated 10 AgArts Camps in southwest Iowa, teaching youth and families where their food comes from using visual and performance art. Painters, sculptors, and theatre artists provided creative projects, while farmers and I taught about soil health, growing food, and caring for livestock.

Additionally, we've connected with the East Mills School district to educate how food is grown and the importance of consuming whole foods.
