City Surf Project is a non-profit that connects underrepresented youth to the ocean and themselves through surfing. As a surf instructor, my role is ensure the kids are safe in the ocean and to promote personal growth through encourage them to step outside their comfort zone. Furthermore, outside of surf instruction, we teach the kids how to live a healthy lifestyle and to appreciate nature through environmental education.

• Traveled to Baja California, Mexico on four separate occasions with a group of doctors and nurses to organize medical clinics for impoverished adults and children with life-threatening injuries and debilitating diseases.
• Obtained over 200 clinical volunteer hours including 25 hours of scrubbed-down operating room surgical assistance where I learned human anatomy and sterile surgical practice first-hand.
