How can you develop your leadership skills as an introvert?
Connecting who I am with stepping out of my comfort zone really helped me. I started to share out loud where I couldn’t relate to something, or where I could based on my life experiences. As I did that I received a lot of encouragement to keep doing it, as it was comforting to my team to hear me acknowledge my discomfort or when I didn’t know enough and wanted to learn. The vulnerability connected us and still does.

How can you develop your leadership skills as an introvert?
Growth and Comfort are friends, you’ve got to get comfortable with discomfort. Fortunately, this is like any muscle, you can train and exercise your approach. Small steps, like walking into an elevator and saying “hello, how was everybody’s weekend?”… move into q&a circles, then onto stages. More importantly make sure you connect it to your “why”, are you doing this to connect, inspire, drive revenue? Get clear why getting out of your own smaller circle is important, as that will help push yourself beyond your own comfort zone.
