“Over the course of the last 6 months, Xiao has been working with my research group to refine some data classification models in Python for a piece of oceanographic equipment for pollution monitoring. Xiao’s expertise in noisy data classification, machine learning, image recognition, and data visualization have greatly helped improve the sensor functionality and performance. I have been continually impressed with Xiao’s work ethic, independence, and attention to detail. Xiao has always been transparent with communicating her progress, asking for help or clarification if needed, and delivering her code in a clean and efficient manner.
