Accounts Payable Regional Process Lead

About the Role: We are looking for an Accounts Payable Regional Process Lead to join our team. In this role, the Regional Process Lead (RPL) supports the Global AP Process Leader to align global process standards to the end-to-end Procure-to-pay processes. The RPL owns the global sub-processes within the region, with the goal of driving standardization and driving a consistent business process. The RPL is accountable to drive adoption to new systems and processes along with the detailed design and continuous improvement actions. The RPL will be the main interface to the managed service provider in their respective region and also will be responsible for the execution of tasks that were determined to be retained by the organization during the cutover to managed services. The RPL will provide input to the global leader to provide the framework around mechanisms to identify, track and sustain the targeted values for Procure-to-pay strategies and operations.

This position offers multiple work arrangements: on-site at our facility in Newark, Delaware, hybrid or fully remote work allowed in most locations within the United States, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and sustain process standards at a regional and in-country level ensuring processes are delivered consistently through managed services and retained teams
  • Establish the process and policy inventory at a regional level and align regional policies and process globally with the goal of driving a standard process
  • Execute day to day tasks that have been determined to be retained by Gore and not executed by the managed service team
  • Manage escalations by internal Gore associates and external suppliers to ensure there is no disruption of services
  • Approve and provide oversight for the enhancements within the Accounts Payable sub-process
  • Provide process guidance and support for ServiceNow ticket management ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Drive towards and assist in the new operating model to move accounts payable operations to a new global system using SAP business network and SAP S/4Hana and Opentext Vendor Invoice Management workflow (VIM) including new AP policies
  • Be accountable to own the adoption or new processes, performance standards and execution within regions with the IBM managed services team in the new operating model
  • Team and establish working relationships with all levels in Gore to ensure regional accounts payable success
  • Drive and increase the effectiveness and utilization of supplier compliance to tools and technology


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Minimum 7 years of Accounts Payable experience working in multiple areas of accounts payable
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading Accounts Payable teams
  • Previous experience working with an AP or travel services managed service provider
  • Prior experience working with SAP S4 and Ariba
  • Ability to partner with managed services providers to ensure on time processing of invoices, payments, vendor creation and modifications, and all sub processes executed by managed services within the region
  • Ability to manage to service levels and key indicators as well as defining and creating leading performance indicators
  • Strong ability to build analytics and use those analytics to develop proactive dashboards and leading indicators to service level success
  • Ability to identify and project manage new initiatives
  • Ability to travel up to 15%, including globally


Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree preferred in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Prior experience working with Power Bi, Cognos and/or Tableau
