Android Technical Lead

• BS / MS in Computer Science or similar degree, with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong background in mobile architecture development on iOS and Android.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and experience teams to architect and drive a feature from concept through production.
• Demonstrate experience building high-quality mobile apps from scratch all the way to production and ongoing maintenance.
• Passion for learning new technologies, domains, and challenging the status quo.
• Proven technical leadership in mobile development.
• Prior involvement collaborating with Security teams to protect customer data and company operations.
• Familiarity working with CI/CD pipelines, automation testing, and improving the developer experience.
• Measured approach to roll-out and prioritization through the use of metrics gathering and data analysis.
• Experience working with Kotlin Multiplatform -highly desirable-, or other multiplatform technologies.
• SME will lead a team of Globant Android and iOS Mobile Developers, and will work together with the client on the following activities:

• Maintain the legacy iOS app, fixing bugs, issues, and occasionally minor features as needed while working on a new version.
• Build Android and iOS functionality to support the client's mobile application.
• Support the adoption of Kotlin Multiplatform technology in iOS and Android products.
• Build analytics & accessibility support into all product features defined.
• Build new flows and features in the Android app.
• Adopt Mapbox 11 SDK and incorporate it into the Android app.
• Integrate feedback and bug reporting systems using Qualtrics and Sentry (respectively) into the Android app.
• Adopt Stripe and integrate payment flow, including adding/removing credit cards, expiration notices, charging, and history receipts, into the Android app.
• Build REST API polling mechanisms and service restrictions UI into the Android app.
