Position Summary: Apprentice Electrician 1 will explore the applications and theory of commercial electrical work. They will spend a year developing entry-level electrical skills while working closely with experienced journeymen and foreman-level electricians in the field to gain confidence in completing tasks within commercial and industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Execute a variety of electrical and general labor tasks
• Handle material and maintain job site housekeeping
• Assist with general site preparation and clean up
• Promote a “safety first” workspace
  
  
  

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Dependable with quick response to supervisor direction
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to lift 50lbs and climb up and down a ladder safely
• Able to work in extreme weather conditions
• Able to safely operate tools and equipment
• Ability to work from various heights via ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and other safe work platforms
• Committed to a minimum of 40-hour work weeks
• Ability to work in and around restricted/ confined spaces
  
  
  

Education and Experience:

• Currently enrolled or will be enrolling in a registered electrical apprenticeship program
