Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Controller to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, particularly within the manufacturing sector, and will be proficient in Business Central and Power BI. This role requires a proactive and analytical individual who can manage various accounting functions and contribute to the financial health and growth of Hyperion Munitions.
Responsibilities:
Manage AP/AR Entries: Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Monthly Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations, sub-ledger reconciliations, and reconcile manufacturing processes and inventory accounting.
Monthly Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial reports on a monthly basis.
Year-End Closings: Manage and execute year-end closing procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Deferred Revenue and Prepaid Expenses: Understand and manage deferred revenue, prepaid expenses, and other related accounting activities.
Manufacturing Accounting: Apply knowledge of manufacturing accounting to support the financial operations of our manufacturing processes.
Inventory Accounting: Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular reconciliations.
Qualifications:
Experience: 3-15 years of accounting experience, with a focus on manufacturing.
Education: A degree in Accounting is preferable.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Business Central and Power BI is required.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of deferred revenue, prepaid expenses, manufacturing accounting, and inventory accounting.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and reconciliations.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
