The ideal candidate can build strong and trusted relationships with internal and external teams, loves to mentor staff and understands how to balance real-world deadlines while delivering high-quality work for multiple clients.
You have a minimum of 7 years’ experience in an agency environment, possess the ability to develop, art direct, sell and execute big-thinking, integrated ideas and show an openness to constructive criticism and flexibility with regards to adaptation and modification.
DESCRIPTION
You are a creative powerhouse with strong interpersonal skills. As an Associate Creative Director you will maintain the agency’s creative standards in all work developed and executed by the creative department while helping co-direct a group of designers, copywriters, and animators to develop award-winning work for a portfolio of clients. The ACD should maintain a strong working relationship with members of the account management team and report directly to the Creative Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures that all work is of the highest possible quality and maintains agency commitment to outstanding advertising.
Originates ideas, words, and visual language for clients. These ideas should be responsive to marketing and creative objectives and strategies.
Writes, designs, or supervises development of their own and group concepts and ideas.
Ensures that all client work is completed on time and within client budgets.
Is able to juggle multiple projects at once and pivot to others as needed.
Assists in production of broadcast advertising and is present at live production sessions.
Has strong communication skills with both the account and creative team.
Presents creative and conceptual work to internal teams and to clients, showing a strong understanding of the client’s needs and ways to address them through messaging and design.
Manages and supervises multiple projects and teams to ensure that their creative output meets the criteria of the agency, requirements of clients, and standards of the Creative Director.
Works to improve the skillset and quality of work among Designers, Copywriters and Art Directors.
Approves mechanicals, ensuring they meet the quality standards of the agency.
Stays up to date on advertising and design trends and looks for opportunities to incorporate them into the work they direct or create.
QUALIFICATIONS
7+ years related professional experience, ideally in an agency setting
Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Graphic Design or equivalent professional experience
Portfolio featuring a wide range of award-worthy creative work
Experience in brand strategy, advertising, marketing, corporate identity, creative conceptual development, and creative production processes
Proven experience working with gaming and/or retail clients
Strong layout and composition with a strong eye for typography, motion, and copywriting
Knowledge of integrated work including design, digital, social, media, video, broadcast, print
Successful experience managing creatives
Excellent presentation skills
Outstanding organizational, detail and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize according to changing deadlines
Intuitive problem solver with the ability to solve challenges
Availability to travel and meet client needs
Willing to work an alternative schedule when deadlines require
