Job Title: Associate General Counsel - Real Estate

Location: Dallas, TX

Job Summary: We're seeking an experienced Associate General Counsel specializing in real estate to provide comprehensive legal guidance for our company's real estate operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate law, with particular emphasis on development or homebuilding.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all legal aspects of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex real estate contracts and agreements
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal real estate laws and regulations
• Manage litigation and dispute resolution related to real estate matters
• Provide legal counsel on zoning, land use, and environmental issues
• Collaborate with external counsel when necessary
• Advise executive leadership on legal risks and strategies in real estate operations

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in the Texas State Bar
• 10+ years of experience in real estate law, with a focus on development or homebuilding
• Strong knowledge of real estate finance, construction law, and land use regulations
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Experience in a corporate legal department preferred
