Leads business development efforts including planning and strategy for new business cultivation in specifically assigned market segments. This individual will be tasked with supporting the business development plan to reach and establish relationships with high-level clients, stakeholders, and community partners in the markets we serve. Working closely with operations leaders, preconstruction and senior management, will be responsible for developing and maintaining strategic objectives in support of overall corporate business development goals.

Specific business development experience in all or some of the following market segments is required: Aerospace, Advanced Manufacturing, Clean Rooms, Biotechnology, Aviation, Healthcare, Commercial Brokers, Developers, Large Tenant Finish.

Top Five Responsibilities

  • Develop leads and meet with owners to enhance the competitive differentiators of Bryan Construction
  • Build an effective network of contacts resulting in project lead generation
  • Lead research and intelligence gathering for targeted client capture campaigns to effectively position Bryan Construction to secure targeted client opportunities
  • Coordinate with proposal department to manage proposal/interview process through contract execution
  • Grow and maintain existing relationships


Business Development Tasks

  • Independently identify and develop new client business, by pursuing business opportunities with strategic clients in key market segments.
  • Analyze and become proficient in client needs and processes; identify Bryan Construction services that will benefit the client’s business operations and competitive position
  • Identify, research and evaluate new markets and partnership opportunities through direct prospecting, networking, participation with various industries, professional groups, Economic Development Agencies, and networking associations.
  • Define and implement business development plans to successfully achieve opportunities within each market segment through research of industry, market and competition analysis, and identifying customer needs. Ensure strategic objectives of each market segment are well understood and executed.
  • Prudently manage resources within budgetary guidelines according to company policy.
  • Collaborate with upper management to prepare and implement business development plans and strategies for meeting annual revenue and profit goals.
  • Focused and key client meetings, outings, and events.
  • Research and develop client contacts to identify and prioritize potential customers.
  • Track marketing and business development opportunities and customer relationships through Cosential.
  • Coordinate and assist in the creation of the proposal responses and interview process in conjunction with Proposal Department and assigned project team.
  • Early identification of projects prior to competitors and release of formal RFP’s or award process.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business, Marketing or related field preferred
  • Prefer five years or more of development, operations, or management experience

Travelling between Colorado Springs, Denver, and Fort Collins will be required.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $75,000 - $115,000
