Department Overview

The Controller's Office oversees various financial services at the company, including financial accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, reimbursement, contracts and grants accounting, and payroll. Additionally, the Controller's Office provides business systems analyst support for the PeopleSoft Financials system, encompassing modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Expenses, Purchasing, Commitment Control, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Contracts, Grants, and Project Costing.

Working closely with IT development partners, our Business Systems Analyst team aims to continuously enhance and improve the PeopleSoft Financials system and associated applications. This involves gathering requirements, conducting gap analysis, designing, testing, and implementing new features to ensure optimal functionality throughout the fiscal cycle.

Position Summary

This position primarily supports the implementation of PeopleSoft Expense and will transition to a Production Support role after system implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Scoping: Utilize PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain Management expertise to identify, evaluate, and define complex system scope and objectives, aligning with end-user needs.
  • Design and Testing: Develop complex system solutions and procedures, create specifications, and execute system and integration acceptance testing.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Gather and analyze requirements, prepare recommendations, and negotiate with stakeholders on specifications.
  • Requirements Gathering and Fit Gap Analysis: Document business and user needs, conduct fit gap analysis, and provide support and training on new functionality.
  • Change Management: Develop system training documentation and change plans for new feature adoption.

Required Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of PeopleSoft Expenses and at least one other PeopleSoft module.
  • Strong understanding of PeopleSoft Query tool and Financials table structure.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for business analysts.
  • Proficiency in process and systems requirement documentation.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in diverse teams.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of accounting business processes and procedures.
  • Testing and test planning skills.

Education/Training

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, management information systems, or related field; or equivalent experience/training.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with JIRA.

Salary & Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a full-time, exempt position eligible for UC benefits, including remote work flexibility.
