Position Summary
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law invites applications for one full time clinical faculty appointment to begin July 1, 2025. The individual selected would:
work alongside other faculty in UNC Law’s Writing and Learning Resources Center, which operates a two-semester, six-credit, first year legal research and writing program ( RRWA , for Research, Reasoning, Writing, and Advocacy) and hosts UNC Law’s Director of Academic Excellence, Professor O.J. Salinas;
teach, per semester, either two seminar sized sections of RRWA or one RRWA section plus an upper-level course likely focused writing or bar preparation; and
serve on faculty committees and participate in faculty governance.
Minimum Education And Experience Requirements
J.D. earned with an outstanding academic record.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, And Experience
Preferred candidates will have the following:
Bar admission plus either practice or clerkship experience; and
Willingness to work collaboratively with fellow professors, particularly in teaching RRWA .
Also valuable is experience in teaching, counseling, or academic support work.
