Diptyque- Luxury Fragrance House has established itself as one of the most renowned, leading fragrance houses within the luxury market today. Founded in 1961, the Maison is known for its mix of iconic scented candles, personal fragrances, bath and body products, and home décor. Its flagship boutique is in Paris’ 5th arrondissement at 34 Boulevard Saint Germain.


Overview

The Construction Project Manager is responsible for successful execution of assigned projects across retail for the growing portfolio across North America. They are responsible for leading numerous construction management related tasks, as well as driving the implementation and development of this newly introduced function to the company in the region


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Reception and analysis of the commercial briefs in collaboration with the Store Design Project Managers and/or the area Architecture Manager
  • Planning and anticipation of project constraints and data
  • Management of calls for tender and selection of general contractors with the Local Architect (if contracted)
  • Delivery/shipping managements
  • Supervision of production: prototyping, validation of samples and production drawings.
  • Site monitoring and reporting to the involved departments.
  • Monitoring and compliance with schedules and budgets
  • Collection of DOE files
  • Follow-up of exceptional maintenance projects and minor renovations – anticipation, planning and reporting
  • Creation of a network of local suppliers (general contractors, local architects, millworkers etc.).
  • Development of material samples and responsible for the material library evolution
  • Updating technical information on the existing store network
  • Updating technical specifications
  • Participation in the development of a responsibility and eco-design chart.


Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in construction project management
  • High end / luxury retail or residential construction experience is a must.
  • Architecture education and/or experience is preferred.
  • You are recognized for your attention to detail.
  • You are autonomous and responsive, and your organizational skills enable you to manage your priorities and different tasks simultaneously in a proactive and committed way.
  • You know how to adapt to changing contexts.
  • You have a real sense of teamwork and good interpersonal skills, enabling you to adapt to multicultural contexts.
  • You have an excellent command of CAD software: AutoCad, Illustrator, In Design, Photoshop, the Office suite.
  • You are fluent in English and possess the technical vocabulary of architecture.
  • You are flexible to travel from time to time.
