About J. Kuhn Enterprises Inc., dba AJ Asphalt:
J. Kuhn Enterprises Inc., dba AJ Asphalt is a full-service concrete and asphalt contractor. We work with local General Contractors as partners on most commercial project, that include ground up projects with the installations of footers, walls, anchor bolts, slab on grade, slab on metal deck, and all site concrete and asphalt packages. We also provide work for local property owners, anchor stores, etc., in providing full-service maintenance work to deliver a turnkey project.
The Professional Surveyor must be able to pull CAD files into collectors, rotate and align points, manages timelines, and have the ability interface with clients, contractors, and field/office personnel. Must be able to conduct the most complex surveying and staking of building foundations, anchor bolts, site concrete packages and asphalt packages. Provide As-builts and provide solutions based on site conditions. Provide duties and have the ability to handle a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment. This position will also be involved with assisting and maintaining company and jurisdictional standards, establishing new company procedures and standards, and assisting with project scoping and proposals.
Duties And Responsibilities
Reduce and process field notes, sketches, checklists, and digital data in required formats for Project Managers, Office Personal, and Field Staff
Draft line work in AutoCAD from collected survey data
Perform topographic mapping and construction staking preparation
Work with field and office personnel, both as a team member and independently, to produce Record of Surveys and any document required for project completion
Adjust conventional and G.P.S. control networks
Apply rotations and translations when necessary
Work closely with management, office, and field
Develop working relationships with clients, ascertaining the client’s
