This position resides with the Electric Vehicle & Emerging Technologies team at Austin Energy. Austin Energy’s award-winning program is a leader in transportation electrification and deploys a comprehensive 5 pillar EV strategy of infrastructure, outreach, equity, fleets, and grid integration.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting project management for charging station installation guidelines and processes on the electric vehicles & emerging technologies team at Austin Energy. The EV Project Lead 2 will work closely with cross-functional teams both internally and externally to ensure successful deployment of public and fleet charging infrastructure, develop policy guidance and best practices, and provide research and analysis for emerging technology projects.

Provide regular updates to upper management and stakeholders
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strategic Planning for EV charging infrastructure deployment (internal and external)
Stakeholder and vendor management
WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS (Required)
Complex Project Management
(Microsoft Office Tools) with an emphasis on Excel
Experience in the Electric Vehicle (transportation electrification) industry
Contract Development and Management experience
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Electric utility experience with transportation electrification or distributed energy resource deployment
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification ( Plus Point )
