Facilities Coordinator
Position Summary
The Facilities Coordinator (FC) reports to the Director of Operations Services and is responsible for being the liaison between the Operations Department and building administrators. The FC’s conduct regularly scheduled building inspections to evaluate maintenance, custodial, lawns and curb appeal. They will provide monthly formal evaluations to the custodial and lawns contracts and will submit work orders to the maintenance departments. The FC will assist building administrators writing work orders, following up on the status of open work orders and evaluating closed work orders.
This position has been classified as Safety Sensitive in accordance with the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act and/or the Department of Transportation (DOT), and Board Policy G-37-R3 Medical Marijuana & Safety Sensitive Positions Regulation. All candidates selected for hire or transferred into a Safety Sensitive position must undergo and pass a pre-employment drug screen before being hired or transferred. The candidate must have an independent work ethic, good judgment capabilities, and have the ability to maintain positive public relations. The candidate must be computer literate, and demonstrate an ability to communicate with technical and non-technical individuals. The candidate must be familiar with SAP and CMMS programs.
Essential Duties
Provides 24/7 on-call coverage as the first point of contact for building administrators and security
Liaises between Operations Services management, building administrators and security.
Frequently meets with building administrators to receive input and collaborate on building related issues and to ascertain satisfaction with services provided or to address concerns.
Inspects assigned buildings for any maintenance issues.
Writes, follows up and evaluates work orders for maintenance, custodial and lawn/curb appeal issues.
Facilitates communications between the technicians performing the work and the Building Administrators requesting the maintenance.
Monitors outside vendors contracts and SOPs for needed changes or adjustments to better facilitate delivery of maintenance, custodial services and lawn care.
Communicates effectively with all OKCPS personnel, students and visitors.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Specifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Seven (7) years experience in the maintenance industry
Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
General background in building maintenance.
Knowledge of applicable codes, procedures, language and common safety practices for building maintenance
Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.
Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
Possession of a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record to operate district owned vehicles.
Meets with each principal or her/his designee frequently to receive input, observations, and suggestions to answer questions and otherwise provide maintenance communication.

Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 40 pounds

Work involves almost constant exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, electrical hazards, bio hazardous materials, dirt dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises.
