Responsibilities
Essential duties and functions may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.
Meets with decision makers, system owners and end users to define business, operations requirements and systems goals
Provides day to day end user support and walks users through fixes; provides root cause analysis as required
Alerts IT/OT partners to application and/or system issues via escalation channels
Assists or consults during requirements gathering sessions to elicit requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to potential system integration solutions
Creates models, use cases, process flows, specifications, diagrams and charts to provide direction to developers, designers, and vendors
Writes and delivers reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address portfolio needs
Coordinates and performs testing, including end-user reviews for modified and new systems, training and other post-implementation and portfolio support
Conducts weekly and ad hoc meetings on program and program initiatives; track issues through resolution lifecycle; works with team to develop and deliver presentations for use in program related meetings
Uses critical thinking skills to create multiple solutions, each with an accompanying risk/benefit analysis
Minimum (Required)
Years Skills/Experience
Graduation from an accredited (4) four-Year College or university with major course work in a field related to the job plus two (2) years of experience.
Experience may substitute for education for up to (4) years.
Experience with utility service technologies, including but not limited to: Maximo, STORMS, GIS (Small world or ESRI), Automated Utility Design, Asset Management, Vegetation Management, Engineering analysis and modeling software, AutoCAD.
Ability to recognize data trends and formulate process improvements and application improvements.
Ability to facilitate stakeholder workshops, produce meeting minutes, track items to completion.
Ability to solicit process steps and produce process maps using Visio or similar application
Ability to write detailed work instructions based on process maps.
Ability to translate end user application needs to IT and vendor partners.
Experience with system integration testing, end to end testing, and creating end user test scripts.
