We are seeking a talented and friendly, Humanitarian Aid Coordinator to join our team committed to outstanding service to our community. As a Humanitarian Aid Coordinator you will play an important role with managing the inventory database and details of incoming and outgoing humanitarian aid and products. You will assist in preparing shipments, oversee distribution center operations, and inspect and monitor the physical condition of facilities and furnishings, all in efforts to ensure Buckner's facilities and equipment are organized and ready to support Buckner programs at all times.



What you'll do:

  • Oversee the processing of all incoming and outgoing humanitarian aid requests and shipments to ensure they are processed according to policies and procedures.
  • Inspect, monitor and maintain the physical condition of facilities and furnishings, tool trailers, and tools to ensure they clean, organized and ready for mission groups, volunteers and teams.
  • Manage the humanitarian aid inventory utilizing the electronic system to track item levels, donations received and items distributed and provide reports to the Director of Aid and other team members as needed.
  • Assist in preparation for meetings, special events and other projects related to Missions activities as needed.
  • Occasionally oversee volunteers and mission groups; coordinate schedules and ensure staff coverage of volunteer group times.
  • Drive assigned vehicle(s) or personal vehicle, with appropriate state license, following all laws applicable; must provide proof of liability insurance and must be eligible to be insured under Buckner's insurance Rent vehicles both domestically and internationally using required documentation.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of donations from vehicles, containers and from donor's homes and/or businesses.

What you'll bring:

  • A high school diploma or GED required; Two years of prior related experience preferred.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish required.
  • Previous experience driving large commercial grade vehicles, such as fork trucks, and using warehouse power equipment preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to respond appropriately and professionally.
  • Experience in developing, directing and managing multiple projects and implementing strategic program goals.
  • Strong ability to meet multiple deadlines by maintaining a high level of organization.
  • Self-motivation to guide daily work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to use up to 100 lbs of force occasionally; Ability to walk and stand frequently; occasionally sit, stand, squat, climb stairs, kneel and twist.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License and personal automobile liability insurance
  • Sincere sense of diplomacy and demonstrated success in developing strong collaborative relationships.
