Tulsa Innovation Labs LLC (TIL) is a tech-led economic development organization headquartered in Tulsa, OK pioneered by the George Kaiser Family Foundation. The organization is responsible for catalyzing Tulsa’s leadership in advanced industries such as energy tech, advanced air mobility, virtual health, and cyber. The organization was founded in January 2020 and has already experienced significant momentum including its $38.2M Build Back Better Regional Challenge win and EDA Tech Hubs Designation. Now, TIL is emerging from startup-phase and has established itself as a system hub and community leader, requiring additional emphasis on scaling-up operations and organizational capacity.
Job Purpose
As an Innovation Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and commercializing products of our portfolio startups. This role demands a proactive, insightful, and strategic thinker who can seamlessly integrate technical analysis, market insights, and stakeholder management to launch high-impact energy startups.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Investment Thesis Development: Collaborate with corporate partners' innovation and business intelligence teams to identify strategic priorities and craft compelling investment theses that align with market needs.
Industry-Academia Connect: Serve as a crucial bridge between our network of over 40 universities and corporate partners, identifying commercially viable innovations and fostering industry-informed development.
Due Diligence: Partner with founders and Entrepreneurs-in-Residence (EIRs) to evaluate emerging technologies, assess market viability, and prepare detailed investment memos and techno-economic analyses.
Product Vision & Stakeholder Engagement: Define and lead the product vision for our portfolio startups, ensuring strategic alignment and consensus among key stakeholders to drive impactful decision-making.
External Partnerships: Collaborate with sustainability-focused companies, local governments, and other strategic partners to enhance and support the initiatives under the TIL / Rose Rock Bridge umbrella.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Advanced degree such as an MBA, MEM (Masters in Engineering Management), or MIM (Masters in Management) is preferred but not required.
Demonstrated experience in product development or startup environments, showcasing the ability to drive projects from concept to fruition.
Skills And Abilities
Possesses a solid technical or engineering background, essential for understanding and navigating the complexities of our portfolio technologies.
Exceptional analytical skills with a keen ability to identify and capitalize on emerging technological trends.
Strong capability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding and strategic alignment across diverse teams.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift and carry up to 25lbs., for lifting supplies and materials, as needed.
Position continually requires the ability to talk and hear both in person and over the phone, visual acuity; ability to operate equipment, read, and use a keyboard.
Hours and Location:
This position is located in Tulsa, OK.
The office space is located at Fifth Floor, 100 S Cincinnati Ave, Tulsa, OK 74103.
Travel regionally, nationally, and internationally required up to 25% of the time.
Need regular access to a vehicle that can be used for in-state travel.
Must maintain a valid passport.
