Beusse Sanks, PLLC

Intellectual Property Paralegal

Do you want to help businesses achieve a competitive business advantage by securing their intangible assets?

We are an entrepreneurial intellectual property (“IP”) law firm that is on track for aggressive growth and we need an experienced IP paralegal(s) to join our team and work directly with the owner, attorneys, and staff to support the team and help our clients. We are known for providing IP solutions to our clients and not just IP services. We need an IP paraleg(s), with the correct mindset and experience, who can hit the ground running.

This is a non-litigation position and candidates are expected to be knowledgeable about patents, trademarks, and copyrights, in the U.S. and internationally.

Attention to detail is paramount and the person we hire must be willing to “play all in” with being a team player and are focused on the success of the firm. Direct client contact is required and your decorum must be impeccable.

We love to help people learn and grow. We recognize that starting any new position will require a level of learning and growth. However, we only expect that what is learned is retained. The candidate must take initiative on work that needs to be done and complete tasks with minimal handholding, including effectively managing a caseload. More specifically, we seek "can-do" employees.

The pay range for this position will be determined based on your years of experience with intellectual property law as a paralegal. Additional benefits include, at a minimum, health insurance, paid holidays, and the ability to participate in the firm’s 401K plan once prerequisites are met. This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week), but fewer hours may be possible.

If seeking a rewarding and challenging position, prepare a cover letter with no more than TWO paragraphs and a closing sentence. In the first paragraph explain what you believe are the three most important qualities needed in someone who works intellectual property and why you believe these qualities are most important. In the second paragraph, explain why you applied to this particular ad. As a closing sentence please write, “I have read the instructions contained in the job posting and have followed the instructions.”
