International Tax Consultant

As an International Tax Support Consultant, you will assist with all aspects of the tax compliance life cycle, including preparation, review, and tax analysis. Your primary focus will be advising global companies on the various regional and international tax implications of their operations.

What you will work on

• Prepare US Tax Compliance Forms including Forms 5471, 8858 and 8865.
• Support the tax provision life cycle for foreign locations and prepare earnings and profits tax adjustments.
• Prepare and review tax packages and information questionnaires submitted to the business controllers and provide overall support to the tax department during compliance season.
• Assist with the preparation of annual international tax provisions, ASC740, APB23 and FIN48 work papers, and effective tax rate analyses.
• Assist with the preparation for FBAR (Foreign Banking and Reporting) compliance and global withholding tax activity.
• Prepare and respond to Information Requests from the IRS on Foreign Issues.
  
  

What you will bring

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Taxation preferred.
• CPA preferred.
• 4-plus years of experience with either a Big 4 Firm or Regional Accounting firm and/or a Fortune 500 company.
• Significant corporate tax experience, US Federal Income Tax and/or International Tax background.
• 4-plus years of experience preparing foreign returns (5471s) as part of the organization’s US federal income tax return. This includes preparing and reviewing book to tax adjustments and preparing and reviewing tax package requests to gather the necessary information to complete assigned federal income tax returns.
• Able to research, analyze, and make conclusions regarding specifically assigned US tax issues with minimal supervision and the ability to work closely with groups within a corporate structure, including finance, legal, operations, etc.
