Lifecycle Marketing Specialist

Newsweek United States

Newsweek is the global media organization that has earned audience time and trust for more than 90 years. Newsweek reaches 100 million people each month with thought-provoking news, opinion, images, graphics, and video delivered across a dozen print and digital platforms. Headquartered in New York City, Newsweek also publishes international editions in EMEA and Asia.

As Newsweek nears its 100-year anniversary, we’re looking to rapidly expand how we communicate with our audience to increase loyalty among the more than 50 million unique visitors who come to us each month.

Newsweek is seeking a lifecycle marketing specialist to work with content and audience teams who can move at the speed of news to identify reader segments and build campaigns that address readers wherever they are on their journey with us. This person should understand how to shift casual readers to loyal fans in an audience funnel and must have the technical skills and experience to turn ideas into fully launched campaigns.

The ideal candidate will be a team player who brings experience working with ESPs like SailThru and who has worked with CDPs or other means of addressing users, from Piano to Blueconic or others. They should have a basic design understanding, from mocking up concepts to doing quick customizations with HTML and CSS. Specific tool experience is good, but we’re looking for people who can flexibly apply their knowledge and experience to new tools as we learn together.

Candidates should have email marketing experience as well as a keen interest in maximizing the contribution of newsletters to audience acquisition and conversion for the Newsweek brand. Previous experience in a media-related operation will help you receive top consideration. Help us build the future of Newsweek and grow its base of loyal fans.
