Position Summary

This position will support global logistics to assist with the implementation, execution, and oversight of logistics services of AirLife and its customers. This position supports strategic alignment and supplier network management through innovative operational excellence, on-time performance, development of strong supplier relationships, and cost control. This position will analyze data, research, and provide recommendations to improve value to AirLife, our partners, and our customers.

Level Of Experience

  • 2+ years related experience in the Logistics, Transportation, or Supply Chain Logistics industry. 5+ years related experience preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of logistics operations and industry best practices.
  • Intermediate to advance Excel skills and experience required.
  • Create and generate transportation reports including transit time reports.
  • Knowledge of Transportation request for pricing quotes (RFQ)

Level Of Education

  • Bachelor's degree required in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business-related field.

Travel

  • Limited travel, but up to 5% as the business needs.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The core tasks, duties, and responsibilities that must be performed on the job.

Operational / Project Support

  • Monitor current and future freight volumes to anticipate and adjust to capacity and network challenges.
  • Serve as a key point of contact with appropriate levels of each brand, AIRLIFE Retail and corporate facilities by providing guidance on logistics needs.
  • Manage day to day carrier relationships to ensure compliance with AIRLIFE policies and escalate challenges to supervisor when appropriate.
  • Carriers Scorecard and Metrics Management.
  • Performs day-to-day procedures supporting systemic shipment processes in accordance with established guidelines while maintaining the ability to make ad hoc decision as necessary to support business needs.
  • Reviews and identifies any issues with documentation following established processes to correct and ensure the timely flow of freight within the logistics network.
  • Facilitate corrective actions when problems arise by following established processes and escalating to leadership when necessary.
  • Supports consistent and professional completion of projects per the defined scope, budget, schedule, and purchasing of services.
  • Participates in the tactical execution of projects with Sourcing, Trade Compliance, Distribution, Finance, IT, Indirect Procurement, Demand Planning, Global Supply Chain Security and Shared Service partners.

Business Systems

  • Support the development and implementation of specific software and applications to assist and/or automate processes leading to efficiencies in logistics operations.

Process Development

  • Establish day-to-day procedures and solutions to achieve measurable process improvements by defining, designing, and implementing continuous improvement programs using the applicable methodology and analytics
  • Ensuring processes and procedures are in compliance with applicable regulations and customer requirements
  • Performs duties consistent with the company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
  • Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.
