We are a fast-growing healthcare technology company seeking a Machinery Maintenance Professional to join our dynamic team based in Elmhurst, IL, with as-needed travel to FL, TX, and potentially other locations as the company continues to grow.
The Machinery Maintenance Professional is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and preventive maintenance of the machinery and equipment used in the company's operations. This role ensures that all production machinery operates efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
Responsibilities And Duties
Develop and follow a preventive maintenance schedule for all machinery and equipment
Perform regular inspections, lubrications, and adjustments to keep machinery in optimal condition
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in machinery
Perform repairs and replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
Test and adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturer specifications
Quickly identify and resolve machinery malfunctions during operations
Utilize diagnostic equipment and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues
Maintain accurate maintenance records, including service logs, parts usage, and repair histories
Monitor and manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies. Order parts and materials as needed to ensure availability for maintenance tasks
Ensure all machinery maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies
Participate in safety training and adhere to safety standards at all times. Conduct safety inspections and hazard assessments
Identify opportunities for improving machinery performance and reliability
Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance maintenance processes
Attend and participate in factory acceptance testing (FAT) during procurement of new machinery which may include limited international travel
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in machinery maintenance. The primary focus is packaging equipment and previous experience with similar equipment is preferred
Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA safety certification, maintenance technician certification) are a plus
Ability to travel on an as-needed basis
