Herbruck's of PA is looking for motivated individuals to build our localteam! Herbruck's is based out of Michigan and has expanded to Mercersburg, Pennsylvania. With locations in Michigan, Indiana, and Pennsylvania, Herbruck's supplies nearly 3 billion farm-fresh eggs and 55 million pounds of liquid egg product to retailers and foodservice outlets across the nation annually. Our flock has grown from 3,000 egg-laying hens in the late 1950s to 10+ million today.

The fertilizer position is ideal for someone with equipment operation experience. if you have worked in agriculture, you make a great candidate! You will be working with machinery used to pelletize fertilizer product.

Essential Job Duties:

• Maintain and operate fertilizer machinery
• All augers and conveyors
• Rotary drum dryer
• Bag house and Cyclone
• Pellet mills
• Work on conveyance
• Run equipment to process manure
• Welding/Cutting/Grinding of equipment
• Lubing of equipment
• Perform maintenance on equipment
• Operating heavy wheeled loaders, scissor lifts and boom lifts
• Cleaning maintaining of equipment
• Problem solving and troubleshooting
• Any other duties assigned by management
  
  

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Farm experience a plus!
• Willing to worka flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays as assigned
• Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations
• Able to work around moving machinery comfortably
• Working in a farm environment with very dusty conditions
• Does not own or maintain routine contact with swine or birds

• Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations
• Ability to remain standing and/or walking for extended periods of time on concrete floors
• Ability to stoop, bend, climb, and lift at least 25 lbs. continuously throughout the day
