About The State Fair Of Texas
Since its inception in 1886, the State Fair of Texas has celebrated all things Texan by promoting agriculture, education, and community involvement through quality entertainment in a family-friendly environment. The State Fair of Texas is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with proceeds helping to preserve and improve our home, Fair Park; underwrite museums, community initiatives, and scholarship programs to support students throughout the Lone Star State pursuing higher education; and help improve State Fair operations.
Summary
Perform plumbing maintenance work incidental to and in connection with the repair, maintenance and replacement of existing potable water piping, existing sanitary waste and vent piping, existing plumbing fixtures and existing water heaters to meet state law, municipal rules and ordinances regarding plumbing codes and plumbing inspections. Safe and effective practices, principles, and techniques of marginal plumbing repairs to existing fixtures. Repair and maintain existing plumbing related fixtures.

Qualifications
- Understanding and alignment with the core values of the State Fair of Texas.
- High School Diploma or higher level of education.
- Must be experienced in customer service.
- Oral and written communication.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate Texas driver's license.
- Reports to Supervisor – Fairtime Operations
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
Environmental Conditions
- Working outdoors in various weather conditions and on uneven and/or slippery surfaces, as necessary, especially during Fair time and special events.

- Remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time.
- Moving short and long distances to access office supplies, meet guests, perform duties within Fairgrounds, etc.
