We are seeking a skilled Development Process Engineer with at least 1 year of experience in an FDA-regulated manufacturing facility, preferably in bulk liquid processing, aseptic processing, CIP, evaporation, spray drying, dry blending, and powder handling unit operations within the food, pharma, or nutrition industries.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, implementation, optimization, and validation of processing equipment.
Execute multiple medium- to large-size capital projects for North America plants.
Develop and evaluate Process Flow Diagrams, P&IDs, Mass/Energy balance sheets, and other engineering documents.
Review equipment specifications, construction drawings, plant layouts, and vendor proposals.
Provide technical support for system issues, design improvements, and new designs.
Influence senior leadership and stakeholders on business initiatives.
Travel up to 30% as required.
Duties:
Design, install, commission, validate, and start-up manufacturing process systems.
Ensure compliance with USDA and FDA regulations.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred).
Minimum 2 years of experience in process/manufacturing systems.
Familiarity with bulk liquid processing, aseptic processing, CIP, evaporation, spray drying, dry blending, and powder handling.
Project management experience, including budget and scope management.
Systems troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis experience.
Skills:
Experience in food or pharma environments.
Knowledge of PLC/HMI and SCADA systems.
Experience with powder processing and wet mixing.
Preferred background in healthcare, nutritional products, or similar industries.
Additional Information:
30-40% travel required to the Tipp City site.
Preferred candidates local to Columbus or Dayton/Tipp City.
