Key Responsibilities

As a Project Engineer in the Land Development group, you will utilize technical knowledge and creative problem-solving skills to effectively lead the completion of a diverse set of urban projects. Core responsibilities include:

  • Provide technical support in site layout, grading, drainage, stormwater management, utility design, and erosion control for a variety of land development projects.
  • Develop planning studies, preliminary and final design plan production, and project permitting.
  • Advance the design efforts for water and sanitary sewer design and subdivision plans.
  • Assist in the development of erosion and sediment control plans and design E&S control measures in accordance with state criteria.
  • Develop design efficiencies using design software.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including engineers, planners, and surveyors, to ensure seamless project integration and successful outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, reports, and correspondence.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and zoning codes for development projects in the Northern Virginia area.



Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ Years of experience in site civil design.
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Possession or pursuit of licensure.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D Software platforms.
  • Have a passion for collaboration throughout the design and execution of projects.
