As a Senior Associate Engineer, you will play a vital role in leading and directing the complete design of projects, mentoring less experienced colleagues, and acting as a Project Manager on various sized projects. Your responsibilities will include overseeing technical quality and accuracy, managing client relationships, and contributing to business development strategies. This role requires a high level of expertise and leadership skills to ensure project success and client satisfaction. Projects include a variety of water, wastewater, recycled water, utility infrastructure and treatment process improvement projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform moderate to advanced design and engineering tasks, develop broad knowledge and skills within the discipline, and ensure technical quality and accuracy.
  • Deepen client relationships, manage consulting contracts, and ensure client satisfaction on all projects.
  • Direct activities and outcomes of project teams, oversee multiple projects, and provide constant oversight and guidance.
  • Partner with Operational, Technical, and Sales leadership, ensure project delivery, and support the achievement of financial goals for the business unit.
  • Foster team building, align project profitability with organizational performance goals, and collaborate with operations managers to achieve revenue growth and profitability goals.
  • Conduct performance reviews, handle recruitment and hiring, and proactively address performance challenges. Lead people moves to achieve business and project team productivity.
  • Play a consistent role in strategic planning, form and lead guiding coalitions for implementing change, and mentor new leaders through application of successful methods.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related scientific discipline required. Master’s degree preferred but not required.
  • 7-10 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain PE.
  • Proficiency in various software including AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil3D, and Microsoft Products.
  • Ability to interact professionally internally and externally, read and interpret technical documents, and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, exchange ideas, and treat others with respect.

The salary range for this position is anticipated to be $125,000 to $165,000, and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications and geographic location.
