Your Job

The purpose of the Guru Program at Brooks is to build brand affinity, create impactful retail x Brooks experiences, and drive sales with retailers and runners all over the U.S. Through retail events, product seeding, staff education, digital content, rapport-building, and strategic sales initiatives, the Gurus supports Brooks’ retail partners to ensure business success and growth.

As the Senior Digital Guru Specialist, you will play a key role in taking our digital presence to new heights. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for digital technologies, exceptional analytical skills, an ability to manage multiple projects, and a creative mindset to innovate in the ever-evolving digital landscape. You will oversee, create, and implement digital content (videos, graphics, copywriting, images, PowerPoint presentations, social media content, & more)for internal and external stakeholders that educates, entertains, and increases Brooks’ brand awareness. All digital content will directly tie back to the Guru strategic game plan and Brooks’ marketing calendar.

In this role, you will oversee content, seeding, and the overall organization of 3rd party retail associate training platforms like Myagi, ExpertVoice, and Outdoor Prolink. This includes engaging with users, commenting, and leading discussion forums, and creating contests to keep users excited and engaged with the brand.

You will work collaboratively with the Digital Guru Program Manager and Guru Supervisors to continually educate Gurus and set the standard for excellent content creation & production within the Guru Program. This includes leading in-person and virtual training sessions and, at times, working 1:1 with Gurus to optimize digital projects and initiatives within their territory.

Your Responsibilities

  • Create, Edit, & Publish Content
  • Create, edit, & publish compelling digital content such as videos, graphics, and copy to engage and educate relevant audiences, ranging from retail associates to cross-functional teams within Brooks
  • Capture content during key retail moments (ex. Global Running Day at Fleet Feet) to create engaging video recaps that can be used at sell-ins and beyond
  • Create, edit, and publish videos for retailers to use on their websites and social channels
  • Through compelling content, build Brooks’ brand awareness with self-service and emerging retailers
  • Capture and analyze the appropriate data/metrics and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to measure the effectiveness, reach of content, and provide insights for continual improvement
  • Maintain a strong understanding of our retail partners and associates to effectively tailor digital strategies that resonate with their needs and preferences
  • Conduct research to identify new opportunities for digital growth and expansion
  • Manage the editorial calendar and content creation for retail associate training platforms (ex Myagi, ExpertVoice)
  • Build and maintain virtual communities through consistent commenting, conversations, and contests
  • Work in collaboration with Digital Guru Program manager to develop strategies and plans to help have the most impact with our key retailers on ExpertVoice: Expert Collective, Communities, Reviews, etc.
  • Project Management
  • Work with Gurus and external stakeholders to prepare training content for virtual retail training summits throughout the year, planning and ensuring projects meet the appropriate deadlines
  • At times, you will delegate content to members of the Guru Team, creating briefs, overseeing video and content creation to ensure it meets appropriate requirements and deadlines
  • Physical & Digital Asset Creation:
  • Design creative assets for Guru events and staff education (event posters, game boards, photo booths, logos, etc.)
  • Create polished and compelling PowerPoint presentations for large retail trainings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media, Marketing, or Communications
  • 3+ years of Digital Marketing Experience required; retail/sales/marketing experience preferred
  • Expertise with video editing programs like Adobe Rush, Adobe Premier,and Final Cut Pro
  • Expertise with designing and creating within theAdobe and Microsoftsuite (Adobe Illustrator, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Proficient with social media content creation (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube) and analyzing KPIs to measure effectiveness
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, execute and oversee digital projects from conception to completion
  • Proficient with the video creation, editing, and publishing process
  • Experience in capturing high-quality photographs for digital marketing and content creation
  • Exceptional copywriting skills with the ability to craft compelling and concise content for digital channels including social media, websites, and more
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across the company
  • Highly motivated with a problem-solving attitude
  • Keen attention to detail in planning, organization, and execution of tasks, while still seeing the big picture and understanding how all the pieces fit together and affect one another
  • Knowledge of performance athletic footwear/apparel/accessories and their related technologies
  • Ability to educate team members and function as a thought-leader within the Guru Program
  • Ability to anticipate how a decision made can affect our customers, our partners, our products or other departments’ operations and/or morale; “connecting the dots”
  • Demonstration of innovation and initiative – always looking at improving our products and processes while also displaying a willingness to dive into the details and help wherever necessary

  • 20% travel required; able and willing to travel across the U.S. and work weekends

Compensation: Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,206 per year in our lowest geographic market up to $103,004 per year in our highest geographic market. Base pay offered will consider the specific geographic market and will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
