Position Summary:
Phoenix Pro Connect is currently assisting a client in South Florida in recruiting an international tax analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the tax efforts of the organization, working closely with the Director and Managers of Global Tax. Your duties will include various tax-related tasks and projects, ensuring accurate tax forecasts, compliance, and documentation.

Position Summary:
Phoenix Pro Connect is currently assisting a client in South Florida in recruiting an international tax analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the tax efforts of the organization, working closely with the Director and Managers of Global Tax. Your duties will include various tax-related tasks and projects, ensuring accurate tax forecasts, compliance, and documentation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Consolidate monthly and quarterly tax expense forecasts for international subsidiaries, providing detailed variance analysis.
- Calculate income tax forecasts for assigned companies and conduct monthly variance analysis.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as finance, legal, accounting, and commercial development on tax-related matters.
- Assist in maintaining documentation for global tax audits.
- Support global tax audits by monitoring progress, coordinating data requests, and liaising with internal stakeholders and external counsel.
- Prepare documentation and analysis of uncertain tax positions in compliance with relevant financial recognition principles.
- Provide tax-related advice to executive management on business activities and initiatives.
- Ensure accurate reporting of tax positions and new business initiatives/structures in tax returns and income tax provisions.
- Conduct tax research on existing and proposed transactions and projects, documenting findings in technical memoranda.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
- Assist in forecasting income tax expenses for select non-US companies and conduct variance analysis.
- Minimum of two years of experience in Public Accounting or five years of industry experience in a Tax Department.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, advanced tax degree preferred.
- Preferred certifications: Chartered Accountant, Chartered Tax Adviser, CPA, or Juris Doctor.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently under remote supervision.
- Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
- Proficient in technical research.
- Sound judgment and decision-making abilities, including assessing acceptable levels of business risk.
- Ability to interpret and analyze business periodicals, journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem-solving skills in situations with limited standardization.
- Proficiency in PC and software skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes, and online research tools.
