Our Team builds and delivers highly secure network security frameworks to protect our customers. We collaborate to create next-generation initiatives supporting automation, deployment, and monitoring of 3rd party cloud infrastructure. We ensure the success of our customers through the innovation and adoption of Akamai's business application, hybrid network and cloud platform products.

As a Senior Release Engineer, you'll develop automation and release procedures and practices for our mobile and desktop applications and cloud services. Working at the cutting-edge of network security with highly skilled colleagues, you'll enjoy challenges in an exciting, dynamic learning environment.

As a Senior Release Engineer, you will be responsible for-

• Providing technical expertise on release process and management
• Designing and implementing tools and pipelines that help automate builds and releases
• Managing and facilitating engineering and release plans, execution and workflows
• Communicating your designs and implementation within the team and across other groups across the company effectively
• Collaborating with other software engineering teams to influence and shape the design process and product development
  
  

Do What You Love

To be successful in this role you will-

• Have 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Have considerable experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash or Groovy
• Have deep experience with building Docker and Kubernetes applications
• Be skilled with Continuous Integration tools (i.e. Jenkins) and version control software (i.e. Git, Perforce)
• Possess an understanding of working with orchestration and configuration frameworks such as Ansible, Puppet or Chef

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $106,600 - $ 221,400 /year/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
