SALARY RANGE $80,000 – $110,000 /yr

The Opportunity

The Software Engineer (Document Management) creates and supports the document management infrastructure life cycle and the letter communication system. The Software Engineer - Document Management Specialist is a key member of Dovenmuehle that ensures all client documents are received and processed into our systems. He/she helps to design, automate and maintain the systems that help Dovenmuehle relies upon to service our client base. He/she helps influence the architecture and process workflows that allows our clients to send their mortgaging documents to DMI, and to process the letter mail in a timely and qualitative manner.

Responsibilities

  • Own and be a subject matter expert in the document management lifecycle.
  • Recommend necessary changes to our document management technology to ensure we continue to service DMI clients with exceptional results
  • Responsible for automation, tuning and maintenance of the Document Management System (DMS) scripting and workflow process.
  • Responsible for automation, tuning and maintenance of the Letter Communication System (LCS) scripting and workflow process.
  • Create and maintain document classification in the DMS.
  • Create and maintain letter communication workflow in the LCS.
  • Develop custom report generation from the DMS databases.
  • Liaise with focus groups of end users of all levels to ensure a positive user experience.
  • Manage new requirements and new initiatives to develop department solutions for their document and letter flow processes.

Required Qualifications

  • 3 – 5 years of experience with programing language or scripting language.
  • 1 – 2 years MS SQL experience preferred.
  • 1 – 2 years of experience with SSIS, PowerShell, JavaScript or experience with a document imaging system is preferred.
  • Document management and document workflow experience for enterprise solutions is a plus.
  • Letter mailing workflow experience for enterprise solutions is a plus.
  • Document management software experience background is a plus.
  • Vendor management experience is desired.
  • Outstanding communication skills and intermediate to advanced Excel and Word applications are required.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various levels of management verbally and in writing.
  • Experience with Financial Services MSP is preferred.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office and particularly Excel skills preferred.
  • Ability to independently problem solve and work in a highly complex compliance environment.
