Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software Release Manager to oversee the planning, scheduling, and management of software releases. The ideal candidate will coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of software products in a timely and efficient manner. What You Will Do

  • Plan and manage all software releases, ensuring alignment with project timelines and business objectives.
  • Coordinate with development, QA, operations, and product management teams to streamline release activities.
  • Develop and implement release management strategies, including release schedules, plans, and processes.
  • Ensure that all releases comply with quality and performance standards before deployment.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among various stakeholders to address release-related issues.
  • Monitor and report on release progress, identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues.
  • Maintain release-related documentation, including build instructions, release notes, and deployment plans.
  • Continuously improve release processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Software Release Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure and deployment processes.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master) is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with release management tools and platforms (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Jira).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Impact & Scope: Impacts multiple teams and may act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process.

Complexity: Responds to moderately complex issues within established guidelines.

  • Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $118,050 - $181,800 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
