Operations Job Description – Pricing

Pay Grade 3

Position: Sporting Goods Pricer

Basic Function: Price Sporting Goods and Ski Merchandise

General Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for acquiring and applying knowledge of current retail prices of consumer goods for various Sporting Goods categories.
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of new Sporting Goods that come out on market.
  • Maintain prices at current market value.
  • Price Sporting Goods and Ski Equipment utilizing retail knowledge, internet access, manifests, etc. from both Baggage and Cargo Loads
  • Unload merchandise from containers and efficiently load table.
  • Using Liberty Program, enter appropriate data and price for all merchandise.
  • Maintain knowledge of Liberty program
  • Maintain knowledge of current vendor and merchandise codes
  • Maintain knowledge of Category Codes
  • Tag merchandise with appropriate price tag.
  • Apply appropriate security tags to all merchandise over a specific price point.
  • Place tagged items in appropriate bins for distribution to sales channels.
  • Utilize computer and excel program skills to assist with pricing processes.
  • Maintain efficient flow of priced merchandise.
  • Quality Control- Be able to determine what needs to be priced or sent to other avenues.
  • Meet or Exceed Production Goals on a Consistent Basis (Current Goal: 130 items daily)
