Client is seeking a Sr. Infrastructure Engineer.

This is a Contract position.

This position will be full onsite at 5644 University Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27105 (Corporate Data Center).

Candidates must currently be located in the Winston-Salem, NC area for onsite from day one.

Interview process will be 2 rounds.

Please note this position will Average 45 Hours Per Work Week and the work week will be Saturday – Friday. Please confirm with your candidates that they are ok with these hours before submitting.

Purpose Of Role

The primary purpose of this role is to support the enterprise network infrastructure in our corporate data centers which include structured copper and fiber distribution systems, switch and router configurations, and support for server and appliance configurations. Responsibilities also include organizing and prioritizing work for junior engineers and technical staff. Additional responsibilities include collaboration with senior IT engineers, architects, and developers to influence technical decisions and strategies that support Lowe’s business needs for integrated and sustainable enterprise class network environment through all phases of IT life cycles.

Translates business requirements and functional specifications into technical requirements that support integrated and sustainable designs for complex or high impact infrastructure systems by partnering with Business Analysts to understand business needs and functional specifications. Collaborates with architects, software engineers, and other infrastructure engineers to ensure functional specifications are converted into flexible, scalable, and maintainable system designs. Guides and drives physical architecture design for new initiatives by working closely with enterprise solution and infrastructure architects in developing and validating system design prototypes. Builds hardware and software configurations and prepares system components for installation to the infrastructure.
