In 2022, Hörmann Group North America, Inc. launched the Stronger Together initiative. Within this restructuring project, all group companies in North America are going to become united under the newly established North American headquarters in Sparta, TN.



Position Summary

The Strategic Planning Manager will help to define and drive strategic and operative tasks with the CEO, CFO and VP Business Development for the advancement and growth of Hörmann North America.


The Strategic Planning Analyst will take responsibility for projects and strategic initiatives defined by the top management and lead the projects to a successful conclusion. The selected person will support the successful execution of high-level administration projects in cooperation with other departments. Projects can be placed in all areas of the company’s value chain and can focus on various disciplines like harmonization, and cost reduction.



Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support projects and initiatives for the restructuring and reorganization of the Group.
  • Analyzing and optimizing business operations and processes.
  • Create content and process documents as needed on projects.
  • Performing market/competitor analysis to support the sales team.
  • Conducting gap analysis for processes and strategic initiatives.
  • Support leadership in developing sales strategies to enter new markets.
  • Work on SAP-related projects.
  • Develop strategy papers and reports to articulate strategic plans, strategic analysis, and business performance to support decision-making, ensure group-wide alignment, and solicit approval.
  • Mobilize and collaborate with businesses and functions to devise strategic initiatives, manage implementation, monitor performance, and support issue resolution.
  • Chief of Staff (“COS”) Personality: Support key activities of the executive office including but not limited to governance papers and presentation materials for external and internal meetings, relationship management with key internal, external, and industry bodies, and monitoring of business results.
  • Formulate the company’s medium-term strategies, support execution, coordination, tracking, and evaluation according to Hörmann NA’s strategic planning framework.
  • Lead strategic business studies that are cross-businesses, Functions, and/or geographies in nature, derive actionable insights, and make appropriate recommendations to senior management.



Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Information Systems, Decision Sciences or other related fields
  • Min. of 5 years of experience working in a similar role for a international company
  • Min. of 5 years of experience working in a Manufacturing environment is required.
  • Min. of 3 years of experience in a sales or customer facing position.
  • Position is based out of US HQ in Sparta TN; Selected person must be willing to relocate to local area (Relocation Assistance is provided)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to conduct presentations to upper management and executives.
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% domestic and international (valid passport required)
