The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing the process for internal vacancies and end-to-end internal recruitment. The Talent Acquisition Specialist reviews and recommends qualified, eligible internal applicants who meet established position qualifications, to the appropriate manager and communicates with internal applicants by extending offers and dispositioning candidates. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for effectively managing all change-of-status processes in conjunction with appropriate union contracts and will work with other HR team members to determine rates, benefits, etc. Additionally, this position will proactively source, screen and recommend qualified applicants for difficult-to-fill positions and help maintain an applicant pipeline in order to minimize the time required to provide qualified candidates to the Talent Acquisition Advisor for further screening and interviewing while providing optimal customer service. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be a point of entry for agency requests, as well as review rates and candidates with hiring managers while ensuring continuous process improvement and the sharing of best practices. This position will also be responsible for marketing coordination of talent acquisition campaigns by working closely with the Talent Acquisition Marketing and Outreach Partner to identify and execute posting, advertising and event tactics. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will also strategize different ways to engage passive candidate and will participate in job fairs and recruitment events as needed.
Responsibilities
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or relevant related field is required
PHR Certification is preferred
Experience
Minimum three (3) years relevant work experience in Recruitment, Applicant Sourcing, Human Resources, or related field, preferably in a healthcare environment
Strong work ethic and track record of achievement
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
Excellent knowledge of NYS and Federal employment law and regulations
Solid computer skills utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint software applications
Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills
