We’re looking for somebody present in the United States with a technical background, good communication skills (in English) and a strong interest in Bitcoin mining who will work in our support team on a full-time basis. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be the critical link between our clients and all other company departments.

What awaits you here?

  • Main focus of the position will be on Braiins OS+ (Linux based bitcoin mining computer firmware) and Farm Proxy (aggregation proxy for large data centers).
  • You will write in cmdexe, use Ubuntu and Linux command line, manage API setups and navigate our clients’ networks - help users setup, troubleshoot and configure all that is needed.
  • You will help clients to install, configure it and troubleshoot any issues regarding our products (technical or not).
  • You will be in day-to-day contact with numerous significant players in the bitcoin mining industry taking care of all their Braiins related needs.
  • You will constantly engage in knowledge sharing with product and development teams, bringing up customer feedback, and contributing to improving our services.
  • You will regularly help our clients with installations and troubleshooting on calls and even travel to their data centers if needed.

Technical Skills Needed On The Job

Technical Support Specialist uses these skills on a daily basis. You are not required to be proficient in everything listed below right away but it’s important that you are familiar with those concepts and will be able to get comfortable operating in this environment in a timely manner:

  • Understanding of operating systems, particularly Linux-based systems as Braiins OS+ is based on Linux.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mining equipment, including ASIC miners, mining rigs, and associated components.
  • Capability of identifying problems with hardware, network connectivity, firmware compatibility, or software configurations.
  • Understanding networking concepts, including IP addressing, subnetting, DHCP, and DNS.
  • Familiarity with remote access protocols like SSH (Secure Shell) to troubleshoot and perform administrative tasks on remote mining devices.

General Requirements

  • Proficient in English (B2 level minimum), great communication skills and ability to work in the USA time zone as majority of our clients are in the North American time zones. You will both communicate in written form and have calls with the clients on a daily basis.
  • We expect a solid technical background with a demonstrated interest in Bitcoin mining and a desire to learn technical aspects of Braiins products.
  • Ability to quickly and proactively learn about our products & BTC mining from teammates, product managers, developers, and other internal resources that will be available to you right away.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role is a plus.
  • Willingness to work during weekends and outside of traditional working hours is a plus.
  • Travel to mining facilities and attend industry events.
