Job Duties: Vice President, Software Engineering with Goldman Sachs Bank USA in Richardson, Texas. Work in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to meet internal and regulatory requirements. Develop, enhance, support and maintain the Firm’s software solutions in support of its Enterprise Partnership businesses. Design and implement high-quality, scalable technology solutions leveraging both internal and open-source services. Own requirements gathering, user story refinement, development, testing (unit, integration and regression), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and deployment. Work with internal teams to develop solution designs. Collaborating with software architects to define the overall system architecture, including software components, databases, interfaces, and integrations, and ensuring that the design aligns with the project’s goals and long-term scalability. Acting as liaison between the development team and other stakeholders, including project managers, product owners, and business analysts, and providing clear and concise technical updates and status reports. Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues that arise during development, testing, or deployment and providing guidance on debugging and root cause analysis. Reviewing code written by team members to ensure it adheres to coding standards, is maintainable, and meets project requirements, and providing constructive feedback to improve code quality. Identifying potential technical risks and challenges early in the project lifecycle and proposing solutions to mitigate these risks and ensure the project stays on track. Provide training and guidance to junior team members.
Job Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or a related field and three (3) years of experience in job offered or a related software engineering role OR Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or a related field and five (5) years of experience in job offered or a related software engineering role. Prior experience must include three (3) years of experience (with a Master’s degree) OR five (5) years of experience (with a Bachelor’s degree) with the following: full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, documentation, deployment, and production support; building multi-threaded and multi-process service-oriented C++ or Java enterprise applications within a Unix environment; programming technologies including Java, Spring, Hibernate, RabbitMQ, or Kafka; relational database management system (RDBMS) such as Sybase or Oracle; micro-services architecture design and development including REST, Java, Spring, or other back-end technologies; and database query languages, including SQL or NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB.
