Join a Highly Collaborative Team in the Property and Asset Management Industry

Our client, a national manager of affordable housing, is seeking a Vice President for Property Operations to oversee the operations of a multifamily affordable housing corporation managing third-party fee-managed properties. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in developing strong client relationships, maximizing efficiencies, and working with a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of third-party fee-managed multi-state affordable housing operations
  • Collaborating with asset managers, owners, investors, and syndicators to meet objectives
  • Identifying efficiencies, updating operating procedures, and working closely with the executive team
  • Creating and implementing capital plans, budgets, and reviewing financials, while discussing with clients as needed
  • Managing Regional Vice Presidents, providing support, mentorship, training, and oversight
  • Developing long-term relationships with investors, ownership groups, and regulators
  • Meeting with clients, assessing properties, and providing trusted advice
  • Reporting to the senior executive team

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in affordable and conventional multifamily property management, including multi-state operations at the Senior Director or Vice President level
  • Working knowledge of LIHTC, HUD-Section 8, and local City and State programs
  • Industry certifications such as CPO, CPM, SHCM, TCM preferred
  • Experience in finance, budgets, capital expenses, rehab, and overall operations
  • Strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to work closely with clients and an executive team
  • Proficiency in MS 365 and Property Management software
  • Willingness to travel as needed

Location:

  • Based in the office in South Central Texas
  • Relocation assistance available

Compensation

  • Salary range of $180,000 - $220,000+, negotiable based on experience, plus a bonus and comprehensive benefits package
