- Let's say you just finished a big project that you worked on cross-departmentally. You're going to want to make sure to call out the contributions that your co-team had with you. Make sure that you give them credit because they worked really hard on this project as well and you want to make sure to be seen as someone who gives credit where credit is due. There's lots of different ways that you can give credit, and of course, saying a personal thank you one-on-one is always a good idea, but I also like to write an email out that specifically details how the other department helped, and specifically who on that department helped and how they contributed. I like to send this to the stakeholders of the project and even their bosses to make sure everyone knows who contributed and how well we work together as a team.
