- [Instructor] Another data protection offering you should be aware of is AWS backup. It offers managed backup capabilities across a variety of AWS services. Let's explore what backup can do and how you can use it to protect your organization's data assets. While data life cycle manager does a great job automating the protection of EBS centric snapshots, AWS backup is a much more comprehensive offering. You can use it to protect your data in a number of services, including Aurora, DynamoDB, EBS, EC2, EFS, FSx, RDS, and Storage Gateway. Since Storage Gateway is in scope, that means you can use this service to back up on premises data. I think you will agree this is a much more comprehensive list than what Data Lifecycle Manager offers.
